Jinja Day Trip – Uganda
Travel to Jinja and explore the point where the mighty Nile (world’s longest river ) begins its journey crossing through 10 African countries before plunging into the Mediterranean sea.
A guided day trip from Kampala, Uganda to Jinja includes a boat cruise to the source of the Nile, a trip to the spectacular Sezibwa Waterfallls, a brief walk through the Mabira Forest, visits to local markets and a demonstration of traditional dancing.
During the day you’ll spend time at the Mabira Forest Eco Site and take to the forest trails to explore this incredibly rich jungle. Keep an eye out for several monkeys, birds, butterflies, small mammals such as squirrels!
The lake cruise to the source of the Nile is a peaceful journey through the calm waters of Lake Victoria, frequented by Cormorants, Egrets, Fish Eagles, Pelicans and many more birds and wildlife.
Included in the trip is a traditional Ugandan lunch and dinner, before returning to your hotel in Kampala.
